We are currently seeking highly skilled Data Scientists to become integral members of our Product Data Science team within Apple Media Products. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects involving the AppStore, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, iTunes Store, and related products.

Key Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in both supervised and unsupervised machine learning models, including GLMs and Dimensionality Reduction.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, whether frequentist or Bayesian.
  • Experience in software development with Python, Scala, or another high-level programming language.
  • Proven ability to apply novel analytical methodologies to deliver significant product or academic research impacts.
  • Experience building comprehensive data science solutions.
  • Skills in data processing/modelling with Spark and familiarity with distributed data platforms.
  • Practical knowledge of the data science production process, including unit tests and data pipelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of managing globally-distributed teams and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and a strong team collaboration ethic.

Role Description:

The Products Data Science team operates at the convergence of engineering and business within Apple Media Products. Our objective is to enhance our digital services through advanced analytics, understanding user behaviors, and anticipating customer needs. Our work influences both individual users of apps like Apple Music and content providers who contribute to our platforms.

In this highly collaborative environment, you’ll work closely with data engineers, program managers, product managers, and business partners. Your tasks will include data exploration, feature engineering, machine learning model creation and deployment, and development of proprietary algorithms. Your creative and technical skills will be key in crafting innovative solutions that enhance our user experience.

Education & Experience:

An MS/PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field is required. Candidates with equivalent experience and a strong relevant background will also be considered.

Pay & Benefits:

Compensation for this position ranges from $138,900 to $256,500 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
