As a Software Engineer III - Lead Tester, you will play a critical role as a seasoned member of an agile team, responsible for designing and testing market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a liaison between business IT teams, product owners, external vendors, and development teams to ensure robust software testing and implementation.
  • Analyze business and data requirements to support full application functionality and design.
  • Develop a deep understanding of business needs, system architecture, and data management to create functional designs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create functional designs that meet business requirements.
  • Lead the QA function, managing Agile development backlogs, identifying test scenarios, and writing positive and negative test cases.
  • Estimate project tasks and manage risks and issues effectively.
  • Execute test cases and document results using tools such as qTest.
  • Navigate complex technical troubleshooting and execute software solutions beyond conventional approaches.
  • Produce architectural and design documentation for complex applications, ensuring all design constraints are met.
  • Analyze, synthesize, and visualize large datasets to improve software applications continuously.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Proficiency in understanding code logic and constructing complex data queries.
  • Advanced skills in business and data analysis, business processes, and application knowledge.
  • Ability to model process flows, data relationship flows, and event sequencing.
  • Experience in collaborating with high-performing teams to accomplish common goals.
  • Skills in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Additional qualifications that are advantageous include:

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, HIVE, and Spark.
  • Exposure to public cloud platforms and tools, e.g., AWS.
  • Proficiency in developmental toolsets.

This position is a Hybrid Office Work Position based in our office in Plano, Texas. Please note that this is not a remote-only position.
