Your Role: Software Engineer on the Machine Learning Platform Team

As a Software Engineer on the Machine Learning Platform team at Liftoff, you'll:

• Collaborate with seasoned ML, Software, and Infrastructure Engineers in developing the next generation ML platform for Liftoff.
• Design, engineer, and implement reliable, scalable, and cost-effective systems to support our advanced ML Platform.
• Drive business outcomes by enabling cutting-edge ML models and technologies.
• Leverage vendor-based products (AWS, Databricks), open-source technologies (PyTorch, PySpark), and proprietary tools.

Desired Qualities and Experience

• Exceptional coding ability (any backend language).
• Strong core Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system architecture).
• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in building Machine Learning tools or platforms, particularly for large-scale problems.
• Proficiency in Python or Spark is advantageous.
• Familiarity with high-growth startup environments is a plus.
• A passion for quality and excellence, balanced with the ability to deliver.
