Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is seeking an intern to join our AI/ML Solutions team, focusing on Smart Manufacturing innovations. As part of this role, you'll play a crucial part in developing data engineering, advanced analytics, and machine learning applications from concept through deployment. This is an exciting opportunity to explore how AI/ML technologies can address real-world business challenges, enhancing our global manufacturing operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Engineering data to support analytics and machine learning application development.
• Exploring and learning new technologies within the AI/ML landscape.
• Performing strong data analysis and visualization.
• Documenting processes thoroughly.
• Presenting project status to peers and leadership teams as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field, through an accredited program.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 and maintaining good academic standing.
• Fluency in English with proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Available to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in related fields.
• Demonstrated leadership in previous roles including school projects or competitions.
• Project management skills with a knack for innovation and executing influential solutions.
• Technical proficiency in Python, MySQL, no-code ML applications like KNIME, and familiarity with AWS or Azure environments.
