Are you a bachelor or master student in Software Engineering or Physics seeking an exciting apprentice internship? If you have proficiency in Python and a strong interest in UX design, this opportunity is tailored for you!
Apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and gain invaluable experience with our hands-on apprenticeship internship.
At ASML Delft, we are pioneering the development of a multi-beam scanning electron microscope (SEM) to detect nanometer-sized defects on semiconductor wafers (chips) for use in production plants (fabs).
Our SEM operation needs to be fully automated for both normal operations (startup, image capturing, setting changes) and faulty conditions (safety risks, machinery damage), which involves autonomous protection mechanisms. This results in a complex SEM behavior, with many states and conditions to monitor.
To design SEM behavior efficiently, we use both the actual microscope and an SEM simulator—a virtual copy of the machine. The SEM simulator allows developers and users to experiment with different scenarios, enhancing the understanding and debugging of SEM functionalities.
In this internship, you will design and develop an interactive, user-friendly visual SEM simulator, focusing on SEM behavior and usability. Your tasks will include:
