About BHP's Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE)

The Maintenance and Engineering Centre of Excellence (MECoE) at BHP brings together a dedicated, innovative team aiming to achieve and maintain the highest maintenance standards globally. We embrace diverse thoughts and experiences, empowering you to make a real impact on our business operations.

About the Role

Our Performance and Data Analytics team drives maintenance productivity and performance across BHP's assets by conducting analysis and providing insights. As a Specialist Data Analyst, you will:

• Investigate complex problems using a structured problem-solving approach.
• Write code and perform analysis utilizing various technologies and techniques.
• Enhance performance by producing actionable insights derived from data.
• Confidently present ideas, results, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, IT, or Finance.
• Experience programming in SQL to build descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analyses.
• Experience developing visualizations and DAX-based analysis in Power BI.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative team player mentality focused on achieving results.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced teams.

Additional valuable experience includes:

• Asset Management experience in mining, manufacturing, or similar heavy industries.
• Background in reliability engineering or management consulting.

Location

This role is based in Brisbane, Perth, or Adelaide, offering a permanent opportunity with a Monday to Friday work schedule. Flexible working options are available.
