The role of SQL Data Analyst II can be fully remote, or carried out from our luxury offices in Chicago, Indianapolis, Boston, NYC, or Gladstone NJ if preferred.

The main responsibility of the SQL Data Analyst II is to support our clients by regularly delivering analytic output files, following standard processes and procedures, and providing ad hoc analytics based on client needs. A successful SQL Data Analyst II is expected to import, clean, and integrate complex healthcare data sets, troubleshoot processes, identify areas for process improvement, and support improvement initiatives.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and integrating complex healthcare datasets to create the data foundation for further analytics, client applications, and the development of key client insights
- Understanding the pharmaceutical industry and becoming an expert for our clients and internal teams
- Ensuring output quality by submitting work products for quality checks and reviews, and performing similar functions for other Healthcare Data Specialists
- Responding to and fulfilling client tickets and requests promptly and efficiently
- Contributing to client team meetings for client projects and engagements
- Implementing advanced ETL processes to acquire and load large datasets
- Following, updating, and creating established procedures and standards as outlined by leadership
- Evaluating the appropriateness of data for ad hoc requests and client projects while outlining additional requirements and assumptions as necessary
- Contributing code that is well-documented, logical, and easy to follow
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- An undergraduate degree
- Experience with relational databases
- 2 to 5 years of industry experience in either data analytics or healthcare
Preferred:
- 3 to 7 years of industry experience in either data analytics or healthcare
- Clear proficiency and hands-on experience using Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience in descriptive statistics and/or the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry
- An undergraduate degree with a focus on quantitative studies
