About the Role

As a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer within the Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization, you will handle end-to-end capacity and topology planning for Amazon's fulfillment centers globally. This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, technical expertise, and a keen eye for optimization. Your work will directly impact our ability to enhance customer experience and improve our free cash flow outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain essential business and operational metrics.
  • Analyze historical data to uncover trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with software developers and research scientists to innovate and implement state-of-the-art analytics systems.
  • Lead data quality improvement projects and establish robust data pipelines to support large-scale data analyses and the deployment of machine learning models.
  • Offer thought leadership on data mining techniques, enhancing the use and understanding of Amazon's diverse data resources.

Preferred Locations

Candidates can be based in Bellevue, WA or New York, NY, offering flexibility with our strategic office locations.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years of professional experience with a strong background in SQL.
  • Proven ability in handling large data sets and complex data structures.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis, experiment design, and the practical application of data science and machine learning.
  • Experience with AWS technologies and automation scripting using Python or similar languages.

This role requires a visionary in data analysis who is self-motivated and customer-focused. Direct experience with business stakeholders and the ability to translate complex data into business solutions is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
