Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Configuration/Data Manager to apply deep knowledge of configuration management fundamentals in maintaining the performance, functionality, and physical attributes of products with respect to their requirements, design, and operational information throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment.
  • Developing and managing all Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Reviewing program-specific specifications for hardware and software for proper format, content, and compliance.
  • Processing requests for Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs) and tracking them through appropriate agencies.
  • Supporting configuration control functions including processing of Airworthiness Directive Notes, service introductions, and more.
  • Reviewing change proposals for thoroughness and compliance with Government requirements, making recommendations for Government review and disposition.
  • Conducting Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), and compliance audits.
  • Maintaining configuration status accounting databases for field systems and equipment.
  • Preparing and maintaining CDRLs for contracts and RFPs.
  • Providing engineering data management support, including preparation for engineering data guidance conferences.
  • Conducting research, analyses, and assisting in documentation and briefing development as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of experience in configuration management, including at least 5 years in a DoD environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in managing configuration of software, engineering documents, design drawings, and conducting design audits.
  • Familiarity with IT Configuration Management within the Department of Defense.
  • Knowledge of distribution statements and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses.
  • Experience evaluating change proposals and managing contract technical data deliveries.
  • Experience conducting hardware and software configuration audits and managing CM tools for inventory and version control.
  • Experience producing release notes and configuration management reports.
  • Understanding of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and change control documentation processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Eligibility to handle classified information, including a current Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship.
