Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct system analyses, data mapping, and data analysis on software programs, applications, and web services.
• Gather and validate data from databases, spreadsheets, and external data providers.
• Clean, transform, and organize data for in-depth analysis.
• Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and modeling to uncover trends and insights.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business teams to translate their data needs into actionable projects.
• Stay up to date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques.
• Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights to support business objectives.
• Offer ad-hoc analysis and support as needed.
• Optimize system and data efficiency by collaborating with internal departments and end-users.
• Integrate new systems, programs, and applications efficiently with business operations.
• Ensure end-user proficiency across departments for new systems and applications.
• Monitor product licenses and ensure compliance with IT industry regulations.
• Maintain computer hardware compatibility with system enhancements and updates.
• Promote system efficiency and security through performance metrics and encryption.
• Implement advancements in system, data, and enterprise architecture.

Position Specifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar role within the financial industry, focusing on BSA/AML compliance and regulatory matters.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data, and perform detailed analysis for trends and compliance issues.
• Expertise in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Excel, and Python/R.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) for creating meaningful reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with compliance software (e.g., Verafin, Actimize) is strongly preferred.
• Required knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) for data analysis and management.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and requirements in the financial sector (e.g., BSA/AML).
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to lead remote presentations via Teams or Zoom.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions.
• Proficiency in facilitating the adoption of new software systems.
• Knowledge of relevant licensing and BSA/AML compliance regulations.
• Understanding of agile project management methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
