Join Our Team as a Senior Data Analytics Engineer

American National is looking for a dedicated Senior Data Analytics Engineer at our Springfield, MO location. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advancing our P&C Operations by building robust data pipelines, enhancing workflow management tools, and refining machine learning orchestration.

Key Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Devise innovative visions and strategies, and create robust data architectures to accommodate new datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different business domains to understand data structures and definitions, while also gathering and validating modeling data requirements.
  • Develop automatic data acquisition and analysis processes to address complex business problems effectively.
  • Maintain and enhance our development, testing, and production environments.
  • Operationalize and streamline analytical models for efficiency and scalability.
  • Collect both structured and unstructured data for detailed analysis via APIs.
  • Contribute to the selection and implementation of cutting-edge tools and technologies.
  • Engage in leadership discussions to help chart strategic business directions.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • At least four to six years of relevant experience, with advanced degrees potentially substituting for professional experience.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and familiarity with frameworks indicative of strong coding practices.
  • Proven ability to handle complex projects and lead interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in cloud-based data infrastructure, particularly Azure, is highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $88,452 to $132,678, depending on qualification and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, basic life insurance, 401k plan, paid time off, and paid holidays to foster a healthy work-life balance.
