About the Team

Our Data Team fuses business acumen with sophisticated analytics to empower organizational improvements, fostering new opportunities and significant business results. The team is tasked with designing and evolving our data architecture to support various applications—ranging from data ingestion frameworks to Data Lakes/Data Warehouses, business intelligence solutions, APIs, and reporting systems. Working at the forefront of technology, our Data Team ensures robust performance and reliability of our data platforms while enabling strategic collaborations that boost efficiency through automation.

Your Role: Sr. Data Engineer

As a Sr. Data Engineer in our Bangalore office, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable data solutions essential for our organization's decision-making processes. With a strong foundation in software engineering, data modeling, and database management, your role will involve leading our Hub team in India, coordinating data initiatives across multiple locations including the US, Argentina, and Canada, and ensuring project deliverables. This full-time contract role requires a minimum of two days per week in-office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage real-time and batch data pipelines and quality frameworks.
• Engineer long-term data storage solutions like data warehouses and data marts.
• Facilitate cloud-based data platform development to aid self-service by various teams.
• Program in languages such as Python and Java, and craft complex SQL queries to handle diverse data services.
• Enhance data quality and security, ensuring compliance with relevant standards (PII, PCI, GDPR, etc.).
• Provide technical leadership to the local team and synchronize activities with global counterparts.

Skills and Experience Required

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage off-shore teams.
• Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Java, or Scala, and familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and big data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Databricks).
