Our responsibility spans the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across various business lines including Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise.
We are in search of a Sr Data Product Manager who will act as the technical data steward for specific data domain(s). This role drives Disney’s vision and data initiatives by fostering data security and trust. You will ensure your data domain adheres to data architecture strategies, metadata, and quality standards. Additionally, you'll provide technical requirements to engineering teams for data transformation delivery and collaborate on ensuring optimal data management and usage.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for all data-related matters within your domain(s), ensuring alignment with current business or operational approaches
- Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, including data producers, engineers, and data architects, to develop comprehensive data products
- Specify and assist in implementing data quality requirements, presenting metrics for alignment and improvements
- Show ownership of data domains, including associated processes and procedures
- Define and prioritize data domain features based on user feedback, company strategies, and goals
- Resolve data integration and reconciliation issues efficiently
- Work with Data Governance teams to enforce relevant regulations and privacy policies
- Maintain domain documentation, engineering specifications, user guides, and release notes
- Monitor domain usage and performance, continuously enhancing efficiency and user satisfaction
- Communicate domain updates, releases, and roadmaps to end-users
Requirements:
Experience:
- 5+ years in Data Product Management, Data Analysis, or Data Engineering roles, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry
Skills:
- Ability to summarize business use cases and data concepts clearly
- Understanding of data architecture principles, including medallion data design
- Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, Snowflake), ELT practices, data contracts, and APIs
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other coding languages
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- Master’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
The hiring range for this position:
- Washington: $142,516.00 to $191,180.00 per year
- California: $136,038.00 to $182,490.00 per year
Base pay will consider internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included as part of the compensation package, in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits.
