Our Analytics & Machine Intelligence team at BBN is on the lookout for inquisitive and energetic scientists to work at the cutting-edge intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Analysis. As a member of our technical staff, you'll be involved in all stages of software development, from conceptualization and development to implementation, testing, and operational deployment. Your work will directly impact real-world applications, allowing you to derive valuable insights and foster further research.

Our Hybrid roles require team members to be onsite for three days per workweek.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with small teams on national security challenges, working alongside leading academics.
  • Design and implement software solutions with open-source technologies, validate them against customer needs.
  • Participate in collaborative evaluations to assess performance against state-of-the-art benchmarks.
  • Support program leads in preparing presentations and descriptive writeups.
  • Present your research at peer-reviewed conferences.

What You Need

Requirements:

  • BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years, or PhD with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Experience in ML technologies like NLP, Reinforcement Learning, and Complex Systems.
  • Proven ability to lead a research project from conceptualization to publication.
  • Familiarity with data analytics techniques.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with collaborative coding tools like git and issue tracking.

Additional Skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to address customer needs dynamically.
  • Participation in advanced ML research.
  • Robust programming skills, from system design to implementation.
