The Role

As a Sr. Geometry and Texture Computer Vision Research Engineer, you will enhance Dolby's technologies using your background in computer vision and deep learning. Your role will involve crafting new neural network architectures, developing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms, and pushing the bounds of modern computer vision technologies to enhance user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate and develop technologies within your area of expertise.
  • Understand system contexts and integrate new technologies to fulfill specific requirements.
  • Create conceptual models to demonstrate the feasibility of new technologies.
  • Effectively document and present new architectures and algorithms.
  • Maintain integrity and professionalism within all aspects of your work at Dolby.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in algorithm development for geometry representation and deep learning applied to computer vision.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, OpenCV, Python, Tensorflow, and PyTorch.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable:

  • Experience filing patents.
  • Real-world application of Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms.
  • Documented research achievements, including publications and patents.

Salary and Benefits

The role is based in the Atlanta area with a salary range of $129,700-$158,500, plus bonuses, benefits, and potentially equity depending on role specifics. Salary varies by location and is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work policies.
