Job Description: Sr. Lead Data Scientist

As a vital part of our Decision Sciences team within the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio, you will be instrumental in developing analytical solutions across various aspects of NBCU’s video streaming services. This includes dynamic pricing, messaging optimization, CRM solutions, and assessing customer value. Utilize advanced data science methodologies such as causal uplift modeling, contextual and non-contextual bandits, experimentation, and Generative AI (LLMs) to innovate and enhance our media platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop projects utilizing machine learning, causal uplift modeling, and Gen AI techniques.
  • Mentor team members, ensuring best practices in code quality and project management.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust data-driven solutions.
  • Conduct rigorous validation and performance testing of analytical models.
  • Build and manage production systems for real-time machine learning prediction and data processing pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data science with a proven record of deploying successful machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience with Google Cloud, batch job processes, and ML model deployment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively across teams to deploy data solutions that impact key performance indicators.
  • Experience with digital analytics platforms and implementing end-to-end data projects.

This hybrid role is based out of our office, requiring a minimum of three days on-site per week. It comes with competitive salaries in the range of $165,000-$190,000, alongside bonuses, long-term incentives, comprehensive benefits, and various perks.
