The Senior Analyst in Revenue Data Science plays a crucial role in developing advanced demand monitoring and customer behavior models to enhance existing systems and maintain peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

Model Development and Enhancement: Develop and refine various mathematical models, including data collection, analysis, prototyping, testing, production systems creation, and performance metrics.

Performance Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitor model performance, recalibrate, and suggest design improvements for optimal results.

Tool and Report Development: Create tools and reports for analysts and management to monitor business trends, forecasts, and customer behavior effectively.

Management Support: Assist upper management with ad hoc analyses to answer diverse business-related questions.

Training and Consultation: Provide training and consulting to analysts and management on using scientific models and tools to improve revenue management performance and maximize revenue.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Applied Math, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: 2+ years in a large corporation practicing revenue management or conducting academic research on revenue management models and systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Operations Research and Statistics software/tools.
  • Advanced SQL skills required.
  • Experience with SAS, Python, R, and Tableau preferred.
  • Expertise in forecasting, statistics, econometric modeling, linear programming, and other optimization algorithms.
  • Ability to translate complex modeling concepts into easy-to-understand business terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-starter mentality.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams on projects from inception to completion.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

Must be able to remain stationary at a desk or computer for extended periods. Regular movement throughout facilities required. Less than 25% travel with possible shipboard travel. Work is primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety hazards.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $83,182-$112,296. Offers are based on job-related skills and experience. At Carnival, the total rewards package extends beyond a base salary.
