Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will apply your engineering background and expertise in machine learning to:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust training infrastructure that scales efficiently to large model sizes and hardware such as GPUs.
• Collaborate with talented scientists and engineers to innovate and enhance training infrastructure.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and algorithms in Generative AI.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems with a focus on reliability and scaling.
• Experience serving as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Proven experience in developing machine learning pipelines and models, specifically large language models or natural language understanding models.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a specialization in machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing.
• Experience with CUDA.
• Proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with distributed training.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets, ranging from $151,300/year to $261,500/year. Pay is determined by factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
