Position Overview: Staff Analytics Engineer

As a Staff Analytics Engineer at Checkr, you will play a crucial role in bridging business needs with data-driven solutions. Your expertise will transform complex business processes into robust, scalable data models and insights that drive decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient data models and visualizations accessible by both Checkr internal teams and external clients.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to derive insights from data dashboards influencing product development.
• Publish and optimize trusted data models to foster a self-service environment for data queries within the organization.
• Define and standardize data schemas to guide analysts across Checkr in their data interactions.
• Lead high-impact projects enhancing data quality and accessibility.
• Prototype data solutions rapidly for iterative feedback and continuous improvement.
• Mentor team members on best practices in data modeling and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Document data processes ensuring transparency and adherence to privacy standards.

What You Bring to the Role:

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering, BI analysis, or analytics engineering with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and relational database management.
• Skilled at SQL, data modeling, and query optimization for enhanced performance.
• Experience with technologies like DBT, Snowflake, Looker, and Airflow is a bonus.
