As a Staff Data Analyst in our Finance, Legal, and Strategy (FLS) team, you'll play a crucial role in transforming data into strategic insights, guiding our financial direction. Your analysis will drive critical business decisions and influence long-term strategies, making a direct impact on our mission of sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as a primary data strategist, collaborating with top executives, including the CFO, to provide data-driven insights on major strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
- Data Analysis: Interpret diverse datasets focusing on financial performance, legal trends, and strategic initiatives to guide informed decision-making.
- Dashboard Development: Develop user-friendly, real-time interactive dashboards that meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Insight Generation: Oversee the insight generation process for company-wide business reviews, guiding analysts to highlight crucial insights and trends.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with leadership and peers to develop business strategies grounded in data insights aimed at growth, optimization, and cost reduction.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead multiple projects, manage expectations, and ensure internal consistency and scalability of data practices.
- Proactive Team Embedding: Become a strategic data partner for various teams, guiding them in aligning objectives with data insights to solve complex business challenges.
What You Need to Succeed
- Education & Experience: A quantitative degree (e.g., Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science) with at least 7 years of data analytics experience in a SaaS, Subscription, or B2B environment, focused on Finance, Legal, and Strategy. Experience with executive-level stakeholders is essential.
- Financial Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of SaaS-specific financial processes and systems like Salesforce, Chargebee, Adaptive.
- KPI and Dashboard Expertise: Proficient in creating scalable dashboards that translate business requirements into meaningful visuals.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in SQL and BI/Visualization tools like Tableau for data extraction, manipulation, and presentation.
- Statistical Knowledge: Expertise in using advanced statistical methods and tools to provide strategic guidance based on comprehensive data analysis.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong intellectual curiosity to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights from data.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate complex data observations clearly, driving organizational change through compelling presentations and reports.
