Job Description

We are in search of a seasoned Data Engineer to join a freshly established team and participate in an exciting new strategic venture to develop a universal data platform for the organization.

You will team up with Product Owners, Architecture, Data Science, QA and Release Management to build data products that directly affect the business through increased operational efficiency and revenue generation. The position necessitates you to collaborate on requirements, generate fitting solution designs, create development tasks, and work with the team to implement the solution.

To apply for this position, apart from possessing a confirmed technical background, you must also have experience and a record of working on enterprise-level applications. You will be joining a large team of diverse skills and experience, and the job demands a motivated individual who is adept at assuming responsibility and can independently deliver results.

Your Responsibilities:

• Gather from multiple sources and develop data processing pipelines 
• Automate testing and deployment of your infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and product owners to deepen understanding of business processes and data requirements 
• Establish and manage meta-data standards, data mappings, and the data dictionary 
• Specify data quality rules, validation checks, and automated cleansing methods for data pipelines    
• Apply data engineering and devops techniques on extensive datasets for business insights. 
• Formulate and test business logic, transformations and calculations to support data pipelines

Qualifications

Your Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of experience with Python and Spark 
• At least 4 years of experience working with AWS and serverless technologies 
• Proficiency with data lake associated technologies like Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg or Databricks Delta Lake 
• Experience with DevOps and automation techniques (CICD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring tools) 
• Competency in test automation (TDD, unit tests, Deequ will be considered a plus)
• 5+ years of experience with data-related process controls, data mapping, and processes and tools 
• 5+ years of experience working with relational databases 
• Strong analytical skills, quantitative, and problem-solving ability
