The Role: Staff Data Engineer - Data Platform Team

At Flo Health, you’ll join a world-class ensemble of product builders, engineers, data scientists, and medical experts, all focused on developing an app that doesn’t just lead the market but enriches lives globally. Our engineers go beyond coding—they improve global access to crucial health data through cutting-edge technology, including machine learning and AI, to offer precise health predictions and personalized, reliable health tips.

We are scouting for a visionary Data Engineer who appreciates the gravity of data, views it as a priceless asset, and possesses robust engineering expertise. Your role will involve crafting scalable data pipelines, ensuring impeccable data quality, and enhancing feature engineering for our AI models. This will enable us to furnish more precise and personalized answers to women's health queries.

Beyond serving a function, you will be instrumental in architecting comprehensive data solutions that empower every aspect of our organization with actionable insights. Your proficiency in Data Engineering and Data Quality will be central to fortifying our analytics and data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Influence strategies for Big Data solutions and advance our Data Platform Product.
• Design critical tools and components for data utilization.
• Develop scalable, dependable data pipelines.
• Ensure high standards of data quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend and machine learning engineers.
• Maintain meticulous attention to production processes.

What We Look For:

• At least 8 years of experience in Engineering roles.
• Strong programming expertise in Scala or Python.
• Proven background in Data Platforms like Data Lake/LakeHouse.
• Deep knowledge of Spark.
• Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Experience with cloud data stacks.

• Familiarity with AWS & Databricks.
• Expertise in data modeling, data quality frameworks, and production Machine Learning systems.
