About the Team:

The Robotics and Perception Engineering Team at Relativity Space is crafting a novel cooperative robotic platform integrated with our advanced large-scale additive manufacturing systems. Our innovative efforts focus on enabling cooperative robots to autonomously build complex structures, contributing directly to our leading-edge technology solutions.

About the Role:

As a Staff Robotics Software Engineer, your expertise will be pivotal in developing and integrating sophisticated robotics software and hardware solutions. You'll implement advanced perception systems—like LiDAR, Area 3D Scanners, and Motion Capture—with autonomous robots to enhance their functionality in completing collaborative tasks proficiently. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will design, test, and implement cutting-edge solutions that push the existing limits of robotics and additive technologies.

Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Advanced knowledge in robotics software development, specifically in C++ and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in real-time operating systems and EtherCAT communication protocols.
  • Expertise in robotics kinematics, motion control, and coordinating multi-robot systems.
  • Strong experience in integrating sensors like LiDAR and cameras into robotic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues in integrated robotic systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial robot manipulators and robotic weld systems.
  • Proficiency in robot system coordination and simulation environments.
  • Knowledge in emerging technologies, computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning in robotics.

Salary Range: $183,000—$237,000 USD.
