About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Assistant Manager for our SDM Department. This role involves managing a team of Supervisory & Compliance Analysts, and collaborating on data management and analytics services within the Supervision and Risk Management (SRM) Division and the broader Federal Reserve System. We prioritize the growth and development of a diverse team and encourage a culture that empowers staff to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead team-based projects, utilizing data analysis and data mining tools to provide critical information to decision-makers.
  • Manage the duties of direct reports, including collecting and analyzing monetary, regulatory, banking, and structural data.
  • Oversee daily operational tasks, including implementing security controls.
  • Set and communicate priorities and performance expectations, provide feedback, coaching, leadership development, and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Advise staff on policies, procedures, priorities, methods, and standards.
  • Participate in System leadership assignments, comment on draft papers, test automated systems, and evaluate recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Understand basic institutional supervisory and regulatory processes in collaboration with Supervision and Risk Management Division leaders.

Qualifications

  • No formal leadership experience required, but demonstrated informal leadership skills are essential.
  • 3+ years of related professional work experience, preferably within a banking environment or in a similar leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree or comparable advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience leading projects using data analysis and data mining tools.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to analyze and interpret complex financial reports and formulate conclusions.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard data management frameworks, such as EDM Council’s Data Management Capabilities Assessment Model (DCAM), is a plus.

Additional Information

Locations: Hybrid, with a 50% on-site requirement. Potential locations include Omaha, NE, Denver, CO, Oklahoma City, OK, or Kansas City, MO. This role is not eligible for remote work.

Screening: This position requires special screening due to the sensitive information accessed. Additional screenings will be initiated upon offer acceptance and can take up to a couple of months to complete. Continued employment is contingent on acceptable screening results. Screenings may include education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reference checks.
