Join Our Team as a Student Information Data Manager at Wake County Public School System

Position Purpose: Play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of student records for Wake County Public School System (WCPSS). As a Student Information Data Manager, you will be entrusted with data entry, analysis, and record-keeping, ensuring the availability of accurate and reliable student information to enhance educational experiences and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As part of your duties, you will manage comprehensive tasks related to student information systems including but not limited to:

  • Oversee data validation and reporting for accurate administration and compliance reports.
  • Produce custom reports for educational administrators and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
  • Maintain and secure historical student records and administer annual system updates to uphold data integrity.
  • Support school staff with training and access to student information systems to optimize educational practices.
  • Collaborate with school administrators to facilitate effective school operations, including schedule planning and enrollment processes.
  • Engage with parents and external agencies to provide guidance on registration and educational policy.

Minimum Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps.
  • Versed in student accounting standards and student information systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skill set with an emphasis on records maintenance.
  • Strong analytical skills for effective decision-making and problem-solving.

Educational Background: An Associate’s degree in a relevant field is required along with two years of experience related to computer systems management.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a school office setting is highly desirable, contributing to a deeper understanding of educational environments and operational needs.
