Support Engineer - Linux Opportunity at Man Group

The Role

As a Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the development estate within Man Technology. You will provide first and second-line support for Man Group's technology platform, focusing on enhancing the developer experience.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Owning user issues from reporting to resolution.
• Providing a single interface for various specialized support functions.
• Effectively triaging and prioritizing user issues.
• Troubleshooting and resolving both simple and complex issues.
• Escalating unresolved issues to specialist teams.
• Championing continuous service improvements.
• Reporting on the estate's condition and suggesting necessary improvements.
• Building new head-nodes in accordance with security requirements and user needs.
• Addressing issues related to Docker, Kubernetes, networks, disk, memory, and CPU.

Our systems operate on Linux with a major reliance on Python3. We utilize various technologies including:
