Role Overview

As a Sustainability Data Manager at Heidelberg Materials UK, you will be pivotal in sustaining and enhancing our Integrated Management System (IMS). Your expertise will ensure the efficient functionality of our software systems and facilitate the accurate and timely reporting of sustainability and performance data. This role is instrumental in aiding our company's sustainability efforts and enhancing environmental knowledge across the board.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic position, you will:

  • Lead the evolution and upkeep of IMS-related software systems, collaborating closely with IT and software providers.
  • Manage document control for these systems and refine data presentation for user accessibility.
  • Compile, analyze, and report on environmental data for both internal stakeholders and external reports, like the annual Sustainability Report.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of our energy and carbon output, contributing to various sustainability certifications and trade associations.
  • Deliver training and support to staff, elevating data comprehensibility and input accuracy across departments.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of innovative sustainability practices and reporting methods across the company.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or equivalent educational background in a relevant field.
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency in handling complex datasets.
  • Relevant certifications such as IEMA or NEBOSH are highly desirable.
  • An innate ability to manage projects and a passion for sustainability in construction.
