We invite you to join us at Experian in shaping the future of employer services for Human Resources compliance and outsourcing.  We are seeking an Analyst for our Tax Consulting practice to conduct tax credit studies in compliance with the Employee Retention Credit. You will help shape a new business at Experian and contribute to expanding the market penetration of new and existing product lines in this area.

The ideal candidate will be practical, inquisitive, and committed individual working with our Tax Consulting practice. This person is familiar with handling high volume environments, problem-solving data issues, and takes immense satisfaction in completing projects. An Analyst in the Tax Consulting practice excels under pressure, has excellent organization and time management skills, and maintains a high level of professionalism. Strong attention to detail, data analysis, problem-solving, and both written and verbal communication skills are fundamental.  It is essential to be able to manage numerous tasks within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, be solution-oriented, and prioritize tasks. The ability to identify potential issues before they become problems is crucial.  The ideal candidate also proposes innovative and strategic solutions to solve complex problems and is a change agent to evolve processes and challenge current thinking.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing a methodical plan and approach for analysis based on the client’s specific data files, circumstances, and program rules
  • Constructing standardized data files by reformating source data when required
  • Performing quality checks on analysis inputs and ensuring data integrity throughout a project
  • Applying independent judgment to identify and resolve issues with clients and internal stakeholders and documenting all analysis steps in the project for audit preparation
  • Calculating Employee Retention Tax Credits, applying the program rules to each client's specific data and fact pattern
  • Delivering high quality, fully compliant results trusted by our clients for their return
  • Highlighting potential opportunities and risks and communicating them to our team and clients
  • Participating in client calls to explain the calculation process and its conformity with the program’s rules

Qualifications

What your background looks like:

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, take initiative, and prioritize multiple work items
  • Must remain flexible and be comfortable with ambiguity within a demanding, constantly changing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required. J.D. or other relevant advanced degree PREFERRED, not required
  • Experience with quantitative data analysis
  • 1-3 years experience in Professional Services or Consulting
  • A proven record of meeting tight deadlines while providing excellent client service
  • Experience coordinating or managing projects at a detailed level
  • Tax credits and incentives experience PREFERRED, not required
