We are currently looking for a Team Lead to join our Editorial team.

About The Role

The Team Lead will manage teams responsible for the ingestion of data and proofing of content to ensure product deliveries and deadlines are met. Responsibilities include establishing effective communication methods within the team and other groups. This person will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performing, quality-focused teams with a positive culture.

The role involves managing team workloads, task assignments, rollout of processes and workflows, people management, and the overall smooth functioning of operations. This person will ensure the quality, coverage, and reliability of metadata ingested into the Gracenote database. Additionally, the Team Lead will develop tools and processes to collect, measure, and report performance data and use that data to improve quality and productivity metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for day-to-day operations and customer projects following established goals and budgets.
  • Proactively identify and implement efficiencies to improve workflows within the team/department.
  • Manage and distribute workloads for assigned teams. Prioritize tasks and delegate accordingly to meet deadlines.
  • Provide coverage solutions for public holidays, after hours, and unexpected peak loads if required.
  • Evaluate staff and assign them to suitable projects.
  • Develop processes and tools to measure, assess, and report the team’s performance.
  • Own responsibility for staff training, providing feedback and guidance during and after shifts.
  • Maintain effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Lead internal projects as required.
  • Manage the annual associate goal process and end-of-year reviews, ensuring these are completed by deadlines.
  • Conduct performance appraisals to provide employees with ongoing feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Any Graduate Level.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Multitasking ability and high attention to detail.
  • At least one year of experience as a team lead.
  • Confidence and ability to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment.
  • Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night, and weekend shifts.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills expected.
  • Knowledge of international TV shows and the media sector is desirable.
  • Must live in the Mexico City surrounding area with the ability to commute to the office. The role is remote, however, you are required to attend onsite orientation & onboarding and training for two weeks, so you must live near Nielsen’s office.
