Job Summary

As a Technical Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with audit data findings and reviews for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS). Utilizing your expertise in data analytics, you will develop, automate, and maintain data analyses to support the annual Compliance Supplement review process.

This position also focuses on data analysis, validation, and automation for reports and presentations. As a federal contractor, CNI maintains a drug-free workplace in adherence to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to obtain government security clearance
• Experience with current and emerging technologies related to network systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Participating in the creation or redesign of reports and communications
• Assisting with machine learning/natural language processing for audit improvements
• Identifying process weaknesses and gaps, recommending corrective actions
• Streamlining the Compliance Supplement review/update process
• Developing, reviewing, and documenting new system documents
• Implementing plans and preparing technical reports in support of projects
• Providing technical expertise in hardware, software modeling, and databases
• Defining requirements for and managing data collection efforts
• Conducting data analysis and developing data visualizations using IT tools
• Developing and maintaining databases as needed
• Continuously pursuing self-development through company-provided training
• Planning daily activities to maximize personal output

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study. A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

• Strong customer service skills and effective interaction with all organizational levels

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret audit data findings. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Capable of speaking before groups.

Mathematical Skills

Knowledge of mathematical concepts like probability and statistical inference, and the ability to apply mathematical operations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this role include regular requirements to sit, use hands to handle objects and operate tools, speak, and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
