Technical Data Product Manager | Data Platform at Sigma Computing

Role Overview

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Data Platform. You'll have a unique opportunity to shape the vision and strategic roadmap of our data products, architecture, and overall impact on Sigma’s data team, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and roadmap for complex data product workstreams (e.g., standardizing business measurement, scaling BI tools for self-service analytics).
  • Communicate and collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Product, Sales, and other key stakeholders to ensure our product offerings meet customer and business needs.
  • Clearly articulate vision, key metrics, opportunities, and challenges, showing alignment with broader data team goals.
  • Facilitate and prioritize team work across competing interests and business needs.
  • Champion Sigma internally and externally, sharing our innovations with the world.
  • Continuously seek and implement feedback to improve internal and external processes.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management focused on data products.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and collaborative skills with technical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to inspire change and collaborate with diverse individuals and organizational partners.
  • Team player with a fast-moving mindset.

Preferred:

  • Experience in data warehousing, big data technologies, and analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake.
  • Experience with Sigma is a significant advantage, though not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $135k - $160k annually. Compensation may vary depending on qualifications, skills, and experience. This role also offers stock options and a comprehensive benefits package.
