About the Role

In the CSS organization, our mission is to build trust and confidence for every person and organization through a seamless support experience. We help customers and partners resolve issues quickly, prevent future problems, and demonstrate how they can achieve more from their Microsoft investment. Our Digital Transformation Platform (DTP) group supports global customers on their journey, offering valuable support solutions in technologies such as Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Business Intelligence, Power BI, SQL, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform.

Responsibilities

Response and Resolution

  • Review, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues, collaborating with team members and utilizing troubleshooting tools.

Readiness

  • Participate in communities with peer delivery roles.
  • Develop technical and professional proficiency through training and readiness to resolve customer issues.

Product/Process Improvement

  • Identify potential product defects and provide feedback to senior engineers to contribute to Microsoft product improvements.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in technical support, consulting, or information technology OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or a related field, plus 1+ year(s) of relevant experience.
  • Experience with BI tools such as ETL, data warehousing management, data mining, or report design/development.
  • Knowledge of heterogeneous Database Management Systems such as Oracle, MySQL, SAP.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C#, DAX, MDX, SQL, Python.
  • Conceptual knowledge of Azure, AWS cloud architecture, or any Cloud SaaS experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team and in ambiguous situations.
  • Background in Computer Science or Engineering with a passion for learning advanced BI technologies.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Knowledge of OLAP, data warehousing, or OLTP databases.
  • BI report development experience.

Language Qualification

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Security and Screening Requirements

This role requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
