Compensation: $58,660.00 - $61,250.00 (Based on Experience and Background)
Job Description
We are seeking a Temporary Data Analyst (Risk Analyst) to join our Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will maintain VSC rate cards, manage and analyze data, run reports, and provide valuable insights into risk evaluations for service contracts and other products offered by Portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Risk team in managing all rate cards and make necessary adjustments.
- Work closely with the team to assess risk and integrate findings into rate card algorithms.
- Ensure recommended rate card changes are implemented on the established effective date.
- Support the Risk Team by fielding rate change requests and providing approved revisions.
- Conduct data analysis and make initial recommendations for recurring reviews.
- Prepare reserve and coverage comparisons between our programs and competitors' offerings.
- Perform independent research and analysis of additional data as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 3 to 4 years of experience with a self-service tool, preferably Power BI.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple interruptions.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of 3 years in a data or risk management role.
Technical Skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps).
- Strong SQL knowledge.
- Broad knowledge of Project Management software tools or Ticketing databases.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Close vision, color vision, distant vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to grasp objects such as a telephone or computer mouse.
- Finger dexterity to use a keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to hear and talk, both in person and by phone.
- Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
