Role Overview
As a member of our test lab team, your primary role will be to test newly developed products created by our product design engineers and prototyping team. You'll ensure that these products meet customer specifications and explore alternative uses for our existing product lines to satisfy various customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and set various lab test activities according to requirements.
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks within the test lab team.
- Conduct functional tests according to customer and internal DVPs/specifications, including analysis and documentation in reports and database.
- Collaborate with EMEA Engineering and Test Lab teams.
- Ensure operational safety, process excellence, and calibration/maintenance of test equipment and certification audits.
- Monitor results and continuously improve test equipment, defining procedures and workflow.
- Plan and monitor test budget and costs.
- Create user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) designs using tools such as PowerBI & PowerApps.
- Parameterize and test sensors for data acquisition and analysis purposes.
- Support development of test software and hardware applications to achieve product and company goals.
- Ensure that all data and technologies are cloud compatible.
Profile and Skills
- University degree in technical science (mechatronics engineer, IT engineer) or equivalent. Additional training is a plus.
- Minimum of two years' in-depth knowledge of automotive testing methods and techniques, including test result evaluation.
- Experience with test-specific software is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, EtherCat, Profinet, IO-Link).
- Experience in creating user dashboards with tools such as PowerBI & PowerApps.
- Strong understanding of sensor operations and data transmission.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Proficiency in German and English (at least C1 level, written and verbal) to excel in a German-language working environment.
- Good command of MS Office tools.
