Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments involving human subjects and biomimicking phantoms to study ultrasound propagation through human tissue.
  • Develop sophisticated data-analysis methods and models to better understand ultrasound interactions.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes that pave the way for innovative research directions.
  • Formulate strategic research plans and lead their execution to advance our technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and refine prototypes toward higher fidelity integrations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in experimental and analytical methods for wave propagation through human tissue, specifically using ultrasound technologies.
  • Proven expertise with ultrasound transducers and relevant technological tools like Ansys, Comsol, MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • A strong foundation in either Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced design experience with transducer assembly and shear-wave ultrasound techniques.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software such as Solid Works or AutoCAD.
  • Experience in acoustics non-destructive evaluation and complex data analysis methods relevant to structural health monitoring or seismology.
