Team Overview

The Item and Inventory team ensures that Walmart customers receive their orders seamlessly and promptly. Our focus is on creating reusable SaaS products and services for end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will:

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Use SQL and Python to integrate and analyze data. Visualize findings on Tableau dashboards and conduct exploratory analysis.
  • Business Partnerships: Prepare executive presentations and communicate strategic recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Model Development: Build and manage parts of algorithmic products/models, ensuring alignment with product goals.
  • Proof of Concept and Prototype: Generate new ideas, contribute to proof-of-concepts, and apply newfound knowledge.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with managers and specialists to achieve team goals.
  • Project Scope: Own small projects end-to-end, ensuring product functionality and providing feedback.

Technical Skills

Required technical skills include:

  • Python, SQL, GCP, Tableau, and Excel

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, GCP, and Tableau
  • Strong desire to learn Walmart’s item catalog business
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in supply chain and item catalog management

Salary Range

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and stock options.
