Role Overview

The UT/EMAT Data Analyst will work under the guidance of both the local Data Analyst Team Leader and the Corporate Data Analyst Manager. Your primary focus will be on managing and analyzing data related to pipeline inspections and ensuring the integrity of pipeline operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and approve the performance of tools during pipeline testing.
  • Assess data quality from inline inspection (ILI) runs.
  • Analyze data from UT wall measurement (UTWM), UT crack detection (UTCD), and Electromagnetic Acoustic Transducer (EMAT).
  • Conduct dig verification tasks at field sites and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Review and improve software interfaces and user manuals.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation and standard procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with headquarters about data findings and integrate them into reports.
  • Maintain synchronization between data coordinates and analyses.
  • Update and maintain quality-assurance documentation and data management procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field; preferably in GIS, Petrochemicals, or Pipeline Integrity.
  • Proven experience in database development and management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Minitab, and SPSS.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Adept at conducting complex data analysis within large-scale database systems.
