About This Role

Slack, part of the Salesforce family, is seeking a top-tier Data Science Vice President to guide our data science teams into a new era of growth. Reporting directly to the COO, your role will encompass ownership of a comprehensive data strategy for Slack Business Operations. You'll lead a cross-disciplinary team covering business insights, data science, and data engineering, and collaborate strategically with peers in product analytics, experimentation, and analytical tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and steer Slack’s strategic vision for its data science, business analytics, and data engineering realms.
• Forge strong partnerships across functional domains including Sales, Product, Marketing, and Go-To-Market Operations.
• Translate business challenges into data-driven, actionable solutions in synchronization with Salesforce's senior leadership.
• Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and enhance data literacy amongst teams.
• Manage and evolve a high-performing global team of data professionals ensuring top-notch recruitment, development, and leadership.
• Develop data governance protocols to maintain data integrity, quality, security, and compliance.
