AI Research Scientist - Generative AI

The OPPO US Research Center focuses on the research and development of innovative technologies for high-end smartphones. We are looking for dynamic, collaborative researchers and innovators keen on making significant strides in the fast-evolving field of AI. The OPPO Seattle Research Center is in search of an AI research scientist specializing in generative AI to join our digital content team. We employ generative AI to create unlimited possibilities for human-centered content, such as image/video/motion/text generation and editing. Be part of our team and help revolutionize user experience through generative AI. Responsibilities: - Research, develop, and optimize new generative AI models, like multi-modal models, large-scale models, LLMs, with a focus on human-centric image/video/motion/text generation and editing. - Stay updated with and explore the latest technology and technical breakthroughs in AIGC and aim to publish in top-tier venues. - Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to develop prototype models to production. Requirements: - A Ph.D. in computer science/ECE or a related field - Profound understanding of diffusion models, GANs, and LLMs - Excellent communication skills, strong learning aptitude, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude Preferred Qualification: - Top-tier publications on Generative AI topics (diffusion models, LLMs, etc.) - Experience with human-centric content generation and editing - Experience with optimizing models for deployment on GPU, CPU, mobile, and other platforms - Experience with large scale data collection/curation, distributed training Benefits: OPPO is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$300,000 + bonus + long-term incentive benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
