We are seeking an individual to offer support for our reporting service. This role entails both proactive and reactive service management, using our internal Service Management Tool (TOPDesk), overseeing the operation of the reporting plan, and actively contributing to the growth and enhancement of the reporting service.
Description:
- Design (primarily functional, but also non-functional) tests for datasets, static reports, and dynamic dashboards in close collaboration with product owners - test design.
- Conduct tests, record and track defects - test execution and defect management.
- Analyze defects reported by users before forwarding them to the BI implementation team - defect management.
- Analyze and monitor (functional) incidents and problems - incident and problem management.
- Generate reports in PowerBI and automate flows through PowerAutomate.
Technical Context:
Azure Data Warehouse: primary components include Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure SQL PaaS, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics. The service provider primarily uses these tools, but knowledge of them would be advantageous. The main tools will be PowerBI & PowerAutomate. Source systems are principally message exchange (SOAP) based, batch process oriented, and heavily customized off-the-shelf applications. TOPDesk is a valuable resource.
