As a Business Intelligence (BI) developer within Vattenfall IT, you will have a unique opportunity to support our mission. As our BI developer, you will be part of a cross-functional, agile DevOps team and play an integral role in unlocking the potential of data and analytics to empower Vattenfall.

Your responsibilities as a Business Intelligence developer include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
  • Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards that provide insightful business decisions.
  • Creating data models, calculations, and DAX measurements to improve data visualization and analysis.
  • Optimizing existing Power BI reports and datasets to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data visualization and reporting.
  • Collaborating with other team members on data integration and visualization projects.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Qualifications

About you:

  • You possess a hands-on mentality to solve complex issues.
  • You excel at understanding customer needs and can support them in creating professional dashboards. You can also act as a competent conversation partner regarding Power BI.
  • You're comfortable teaching and assisting end-users in Power BI and self-service reporting.
  • Learning new tools and developing software skills are second nature to you.
  • You embrace an Agile mindset and the SCRUM methodology.
  • You are dedicated to your team's goals and delivery.
  • You're not scared to share a cup of coffee with a product owner.

Your Skills:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and at least three years' experience as a Power BI developer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Thorough understanding of data modeling concepts and proficiency in DAX.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A self-starter with a good ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Fluency in English is necessary; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
