Machines (or Large Language Models to be precise) learn in similar ways to humans - through feedback. By labeling, ranking, auditing, and correcting text output, you will enhance Large Language Model’s performance for future iterations, making a lasting impact on Cohere’s technology. Cohere is seeking dynamic and dedicated Data Annotators with exceptional skills in Korean writing and translation.
Please Note: This is a part-time independent contractor position. We are looking for candidates who can commit to atleast 12 hours per week at a $30/hour contract rate. This role is BYOD 💻 - Bring Your Own Device (laptop). Occasional remote work is allowed. Performance incentives included!
As a Data Quality Specialist, you will:
- Label and Rank: Correctly label and rank machine learning data with advanced proficiency in Korean, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Audit and Correct: Examine and correct any inaccuracies in Korean language data, maintaining the highest standard of data accuracy.
- Reading and Text-Based Tasks: Efficiently complete reading and text-based assignments in Korean, with a high attention to detail.
- Preference-Based Tasks: Evaluate and complete tasks, assessing which responses in Korean best comply with our style guide.
- Recommend Optimizations: Identify and propose opportunities for improving data quality and model performance in Korean language tasks.
- Provide Feedback: Collaborate and communicate effectively, providing feedback to cross-functional team members, particularly on Korean language-related matters.
- Detail-Oriented Execution: Maintain rigorous attention to detail while performing repetitive and precise tasks, particularly when working with Korean language data.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Language Proficiency: Native or nearly native proficiency in Korean; excellent command of English.
- Expert reading and writing skills - which you are ready to demonstrate in our written test
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to accuracy - the type who proofreads all of their emails!
- High tolerance for repetitive and monotonous tasks
- Ability to follow complex instructions, manage ambiguity and work independently
- Exceptional sense of urgency and time management
- Curiosity about technology and knack for tackling problems in creative ways
- A reliable laptop you can bring into the office
The Candidate Journey:
- Initial Screening - After you submit your application, our Talent Team will review your resume and writing samples.
- Virtual Meet & Greet - If chosen to move forward, you will have a brief video call with a member of our Annotation Team!
- Practical Assessment - This assessment will test your written skills through various language-based tasks, such as a writing sample, interacting with a chatbot, and more.
- Offer - Independent Contractor Agreement
