Description Data development: Involves assisting in identifying and establishing data standards on an ongoing basis that will enable all Janes data to be modular. This allows greater flexibility in delivery for customer specific needs. Data structuring: Involves producing high quality structured data output by strictly enforcing structured data templates and managing the data capture process effectively. This allows our customers to have datasets that are easily interrogated. Cross-content linking: Involves creating connections between separate datasets across the Aerospace and Defence product area. This increases the value of data by establishing relationships with other relevant fields. Data governance: Involves reviewing the work of peers as and when assigned and providing quality checks. Ensuring correctness, currency, completeness, and consistency of data through thorough checks and peer reviews. It also entails examining data across various content sets, using look-up tables to detect flaws, then correcting or removing incorrect, incomplete, poorly formatted, or duplicated data. Ad-hoc consultancy projects: Involve undertaking data-oriented projects as needed, which includes assessing, rationalising and cleaning data. Skills and Qualifications: - Proficiency with advanced features such as macros, formulas in MS Excel, MS Word, Power Point, and PowerBI is preferred. - Previous working experience in any of the tools like Data Analytics/KNIME/Tableau/SQL or similar for examining raw data and proposing innovative solutions/models/theories is a plus. - Ability to sift through large amounts of data and parse information from various sources. - Excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving. - Experience of working in a data environment, which may include databases, data transformation, information sciences or similar, or categorization/classification is required. - Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. - Ability to swiftly adapt to work process changes. Willingness to accept new challenges and roles as and when assigned. - Solid understanding of classifications of platforms, systems and specifications related to Military equipment and ability to classify them into various categories based on their role and type is a plus. Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a University Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree (Engineering/International Relations/Geo-politics/Maritime Defence & Security/Defence and Strategic Studies/Defence and National Security Studies) or its equivalent.
