Job Description
Data Scientists at Wolt build and deploy models using various approaches including statistical analysis, machine learning, and deep learning for our online delivery platform and business operations that affect all the 25 countries we operate in.
The work involves owning machine learning use cases as part of a team; starting from identifying opportunities, to developing and prototyping a solution, all the way to deploying, maintaining, and improving a production-ready solution within the embedded product team. We use various technologies and tools including Python, SQL, Spark, Docker, Snowflake, Looker, Seldon Core, MLflow, and Kafka to get the job done.
We’re seeking a Data Scientist to join our cross-functional Consumer Search team, to work on algorithms and solutions for improving our search experience. The team owns the domain from end to end, from developing approaches to testing their impact and deploying and maintaining them under strict performance requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants should have an interest and past experience in search engines (both in natural language retrieval and ranking), recommendation systems, and personalization. Applicants should also have extensive hands-on experience with production-level Data Science projects, a deep understanding and experience with machine learning, a solid understanding of statistics, and knowledge of experimental design and analysis, such as A/B testing. Fluent programming skills in Python and experience with databases (SQL) are required. Ideally, applicants will also have a degree in a field relevant to Data Science. Lastly, we’re seeking analytical and curious self-starters with good communication skills and a drive to get things done.
