It is a very exciting time of growth for our Cloud Services & Applications (CSA) team, and we are currently hiring an Azure Data Engineer to provide technical leadership for our expanding Managed Flex Services team. This role can be located anywhere in the United States.
What will my role be?
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be joining our growing Managed Services Flex team to Advise and deliver Azure data solutions that meet our clients business needs. In this role, you will work closely with some of the best Microsoft professionals in the industry and have access to the tools and resources you need to successfully solve our clients' business challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure data and on-prem data architecture with the aim of helping your portfolio of clients to design, plan and execute on their business needs.
What’s required?
First and foremost, you should enjoy what you do with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge! Passion for Customer Service and ability to discern your clients IT alignment with business needs. Desire to work in a team environment and ability to work across organization functional boundaries and ability to take ownership of delivery and work independently when necessary. Ability to make decisions and manage time effectively to a delivery plan/schedule, be adept at requirements elicitation and mapping those to business needs and technical solutions. Understanding of Public, Private, & Hybrid Cloud strategies and experience working with large enterprise deployments. Experience building data pipelines to operationalize end-to-end solutions and experience in data analytics and data mining with proven quantitative orientation, and experience working on complex reporting requirements, large, complex data sets, and various reporting tools such as Power BI and experience building advanced analytics (including machine learning) solutions and proven database modernization solutions. Ability to deliver high-quality reporting metrics to customers and executives and judge data results as valid and accurate. Database/Server, Azure Synapse, Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and 3rd party data sources experience. Azure DevOps, creating Repos, Pipelines, Boards and Azure PaaS Services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Functions, Push Notifications, API Management, Azure Key Vault experience. Deep understanding of common data store technologies (SQL) and experience with scripting languages, such as SQL, Python, Scala. Solid understanding of data governance and creating data dictionaries. A credible, professional presence and ability to develop productive customer and team relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
What would set me apart?
Over four years of experience with IT operations. Previous IT consulting background would be a plus. Experience in leveraging Azure Databricks / Azure Cognitive Services solutions / Microsoft Fabric. Experience with Automation and Infrastructure as Code concepts using tooling such as ARM Templates, Bison, Terraform, Ansible, etc. Experience with manipulating RESTful APIs to programmatically automate manual tasks. Experience with C#, DMX, DAX, MDX, SQL, T-SQL, Java, Scala, Python, PowerShell, R. Microsoft Azure Certifications related to Data and Analytics (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate DP-200/201, and/or 70-764, 70-767, 70-768, and 70-778).
