Data Analyst - New Applications Team

Job expired!
We're here because we believe in small businesses. We believe they deserve better than waiting weeks for a loan. And we believe it’s our job to help them grow. We started in 2012 with these principles, and we hold true to them today - now that we're one of the fastest-growing fintechs in Europe. In the time between, we’ve built the best tech platform in lending, won several awards and opened up £3.5 billion in loans to over 70,000 businesses. So what's next? Our mission now is to help one million businesses who need us. To do this, we'll need new products and partnerships. But most of all, we'll need smart, hands-on people to join us on the journey and get us to our goal. The role The New Applications team is responsible for increasing customer conversion rate from signup until the end of the credit assessment. This is done by optimizing the data requirements relevant for a credit assessment while providing a seamless UX for customers. As a Data Analyst joining the New Applications team, your primary focus will be to help design and evaluate various tests which we run to identify the best UX and routing strategies using Bayesian testing. You will also help identify new opportunities by evaluating strategies and help inform the direction of the changes we're implementing based on data. We are looking for a Data Analyst who loves getting their hands dirty with raw data. What matters to us is that you are a curious and continuous learner with a hunger to achieve the very best in what you do. Requirements Strong numerate background, e.g. Excellent degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent. Experience with statistical data analysis, ability to generate well-founded insights from potentially unstructured data. Ability to dive deep into the business context and translate data into actionable insights. A healthy skepticism and desire to build innovative, but practical, solutions to business problems. Self-starter with ability to work autonomously in an unstructured environment. Love for problem-solving and getting hands-on with the raw data to really understand the underlying processes and nuances of the problem. Ability to identify opportunities and drive automation. Strong communication skills. Experience with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, R, Matlab, and/or SQL is an advantage. We expect to pay from £40,000 to £50,000 for this role. But, we're open-minded, so definitely include your salary expectations with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and regularly remunerate staff for their increasing value to our business.
