The Role
If you've ever dreamed of owning an innovative data product, then this role is for you. Veeva Systems is looking to hire a Product Manager for our healthcare databases in Nigeria and other Central African countries, within our top-tier solution for life science's reference data.
As the Product Manager for Veeva OpenData, your responsibilities will include shaping and establishing the roadmap, tailoring the offering to the market, and collaborating closely with customers and Veeva teams to bring your vision to life. You will ensure the enhancements meet customer needs and are implemented expediently, accurately, and with the highest Veeva quality standards.
In this role, you will get the chance to work with a team of A-players in life sciences and technology, who are changing the industry's perception of data.
The ideal candidate combines conventional product management skills with an analytical mind, and a passion for data and for offering complex problem solutions through creative data measures.
What You'll Do
- Deliver OpenData Product Excellence in Nigeria and other Central African regions
- Engage with customers, services, market owners, and sales to comprehend business needs and serve as an authority on the matter
- Direct the strategic direction of the product and manage the product roadmap, enhancements, and releases
- Ensure the local database and processes meet Veeva quality standards
- Communicate product value to internal and external clientele
- Aid in client-ready presentations, use cases, and value propositions
- Direct the data stewardship team to guarantee data processing achieves the highest level of efficiency & excellence
Requirements
- Advanced product management skills
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including PowerPoint presentation creation and delivery
- Collaborative team player, capable of innovating with cross-functional teams
- Technical skills adequate to translate business requirements into terms developers can comprehend
- Fluent in English and Arabic or French. Knowledge of additional African languages (e.g., Swahili, Amharic) is advantageous
- Experience with commercial data sets, and working directly with reference and transactional data, ideally in the Life Sciences sector
- Knowledge of the healthcare system (preferably Nigeria's healthcare system)
- At least 2 years of practical Product Management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Product Management, Data Science, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent degree required
