Energy Aspects currently has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Data team, based in our London office.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the CEO's office on a wide variety of AI and ML business projects. You will identify and assist in prioritizing areas where AI can provide substantial, tangible business benefits to areas such as Finance, Sales, and Operations. You will turn ideas into project plans and technical specifications, and personally develop quick proof-of-concept implementations using your strong technical skills.
This role will also offer the opportunity to consult across the broader business on best practices and other projects and promote thoughtful adoption of AI/ML.
Duties:
- Work directly with the CEO and other senior leaders to identify and prioritize areas where AI and ML can provide significant business benefits, particularly in functions such as Finance, Sales, and Operations
- Develop a roadmap for AI/ML in this area
- Develop projects from idea to proof-of-concept working solutions quickly and pragmatically
- Effectively communicate with senior leaders on technical topics, capturing requirements with ease and translating them into practical solutions
- Work within established AI/ML policy frameworks, following guidelines and balancing quick progress against potential risk
Requirements:
- Degree in an engineering or quantitative subject
- 3+ years of experience applying ML to practical business applications
- Advanced Python skillset, familiarity with object-orientation and software development best practices
- Practical experience with LLM fine-tuning, model training, and prompt engineering
- Practical experience applying LLM/generative AI models (GPT-3/4, BERT, LLaMA, Bard, etc.)
- Experience with NLP, especially text-mining, text-editing, summarization
- Excellent communication skills, and experience working with and presenting to senior leadership
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Dash, Flask or other python web frameworks
- Experience with version control, DevOps, and testing
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in REST API development and model-as-a-service deployment
- Experience in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or other AI domains
- Experience addressing data privacy, security concerns, regulatory compliance, legal implications, integration challenges, and ethical considerations related to the use of AI
