Machine Learning Engineer

As our Machine Learning Engineer, your role will entail developing, deploying, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting our Machine Learning models, infrastructure, and systems that are integral to our industrial robotic solutions. Work you will be involved in includes: - Rewriting our model inference-as-a-service code from Python to Rust - Refining our automated model retraining system - Resolving problems with deployed robots related to the machine learning systems - Transitioning our machine learning computing cluster from the cloud to in-house - Overseeing cloud permissions for various machine learning systems - Introducing and testing new machine learning/perception capabilities Technologies you will work with: - Python - Rust - Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, & Cloud Storage) - Airflow - Kubernetes - Terraform - gRPC - TensorFlow - CI/CD Qualifications: - B.S. or higher degree in math, physics, computer science, or a related STEM field - Proficient Python programming skills (writing and debugging code) - Solid problem-solving skills backed by a growth mindset and humility - Excellent communication skills - Knowledge of key concepts in machine learning (particularly deep learning) - Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required (we do sponsor H1B transfer) Preferred skills: - Experience with the technologies listed above (e.g., TensorFlow, Kubernetes, & Rust) - Experience with robotics: arms, RGBD cameras, force sensors, etc. - Experience deploying machine learning models and/or systems in production - Experience working in start-ups/startup-like environment More about OSARO: Based in San Francisco, Osaro is a startup company that incorporates deep learning technology into next-generation robotics applications.
