Job Description

Support in the development of the activities for the Global Data Science Business Unit. You will join the Amsterdam Data Science team and implement high-performance software solutions hosted on scalable and secure cloud infrastructures for our Data Science projects and our internal Heka solutions.

Your role will contribute to shaping and executing the future of your expertise within Sia NL. You will work on client projects and on building our Sia AI solutions, in collaboration with our NL-based data science team and Paris-based Heka Engineering team.

Your responsibilities include:

● Cloud services at GCP, AWS, and Azure: architectural choice, utilization of storage & compute services, cost monitoring and optimization, role management, and Infrastructure as Code.

● Docker and Kubernetes: containerization & orchestration of applications and management of K8s clusters suitable for Data Science workloads.

● Python programming: server-side tools development (mass data processing, API REST server, authentication, and so on).

● CI / CD: managing integration and continuous deployment of our applications and internal platforms, supporting Data Science project deployment with our customers.

● Infrastructures & Services tailored to Machine Learning: technological surveillance and implementation of useful solutions to Data Scientists in learning and deploying their ML models.

Qualifications

• You have at least an MSc level in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, Informatics, or related study field.
• You are highly proficient in Python and have a solid foundation in other languages. You are adept with at least one SQL DBMS (ideally PostgreSQL) and noSQL (ideally MongoDB) and can use its advanced features.
• You are familiar with at least one cloud service platform (GCP, AWS, Azure) with experience integrating different services into the same project.
• You are comfortable with Docker, automating CI / CD pipelines and have a strong desire to gain skills in Kubernetes if you don't have experience with this solution yet.
• You embrace the DevOps Culture: you support the code life cycle, from development to deployment and maintenance of applications (proficiency in the Gitlab-CE ecosystem is a plus). You are also familiar with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• You prioritize security and have experience implementing application protection solutions (certificate management, HTTPS security, OAuth2 authentication, credential management).
• You have a natural curiosity to actively follow your sector's evolution with strong convictions about current technologies. You are proactive and can rapidly acquire skills in a new technology, both as part of a team and independently.
• You are willing to get involved and quickly take responsibility for high-value missions within a dynamic structure.
